A Very Rewarding Draft + Activating Your Squads

Hey Rivals, we know half the fun of the player cards is collecting them and ripping the packs to see who you pulled for your lineup, so we’re mixing things up a little with a new collection reward system just for the 2023 NFL Draft.

As we mentioned previously, we’re selling what we call Draft Pick cards that will update around May 1 to reflect the drafted players you purchased. We have two collection challenges that can each be redeemed only once and both will offer a “Past Draft Great” player who was scooped up in the third round or later, but turned out to be an amazing pick.

We’re running multiple sales over a few weeks, so you’ll have plenty of chances to snag the cards you need. Here are the terms for each collection challenge:

Challenge 1

• Collect any 5 Rare or better Draft player cards
• Prize will be 1 Epic player card with a 115 power rating

Challenge 2

• Collect 4 Epic or better and any 4 Legendary Draft player cards
• Prize will be 1 Mythical player card with a 150 power rating

These cards can be acquired by purchasing new packs in-game or by copping qualifying Draft player cards from the Mythical Marketplace and must be held in your Mythical account so we can take snapshots of your collection. Rewards for those who qualify will then be dished out by our team, without you needing to take any further steps.

The draft sales will conclude on May 22, the collection challenges will wrap on May 26, and reward distributions will take place on Fridays during the month of May: May 5, May 12, May 19, and May 26.

It should be noted that wallets who win a collection challenge for the 2023 NFL Draft will be excluded from future distributions during the event, so you can only complete these two challenges once each.

Launch Rewards, Explained

We’ve mentioned the Starter Pack Bundle before as a reward for anyone who purchased a pack from the Super Bowl LVII or Rising Stars presales, so here’ the breakdown on what comes in the Starter Pack Bundle:

1. a common or better limited edition player card, pulled from the remaining Rising Stars and Super Bowl LVII inventory
2. a base player card at or above 70 PWR
3. an additional base player card at or above 65 PWR
4. 900 gems

Base player cards are not backed by tokens, so they are not tradeable and are locked to your player account. We anticipate having all Starter Pack Bundles distributed within the first couple days after the game release.

A new reward approaches! For all Rivals players who joined us in the beta, we’re passing them the Beta Participation Pack which we also expect to deliver in the first few days after the game goes live. Here’s what’s in the pack:

1. a base player card at or above 70 PWR
2. an additional base player card at or above 65 PWR

Rookie Improvements

Rookie cards may not be as strong as cards in other packs, but what's special about them is they can naturally improve based on the player's on-field performance. We've compiled a list of real-life scenarios that would qualify rookies for automatic increases to their PWR ratings. Player cards are considered eligible rookie cards for the PWR improvements if they were originally purchased in Draft sale packs — Past Draft Great cards are not eligible for these improvements.

No scenario can be hit until games start being played for the upcoming 2023-2024 NFL Season. The game team will check every single week to see if any of the scenarios were met and we aim to deliver the update to rookie players each Wednesday. For example, if a rookie achieves a scenario on Week 1, we would aim to update that player’s cards by Wednesday, September 13.

Here is a list of example scenarios that will qualify rookie player cards for automatic upgrades:

For all positions:

• Get named to the All-Rookie Team at the end of the season: +15 PWR

For QBs:

• Throw 2 TDs in the first 5 games of this season:  +5 PWR
• Score 11 TDs in season: +10 PWR (Bryce Young)
• Throw for 2,750 yards or more this season: +10 PWR (CJ Stroud)
• Complete 60% or more for the season (300 attempt minimum): +10 PWR (Anthony Richardson)

For RBs:

• Score 1 TD in first 5 games of the NFL season:  +5 PWR
• Gain 1,000 or more total yards in this season:  +10 PWR (Bijan Robinson)
• Have 220 or more carries in this season:  +10 PWR (Jahmyr Gibbs)

For WRs:

• Have 12 or more catches in first 5 games of this season:  +5 PWR
• Catch 4 or more TDs this season:  +10 PWR (Jaxon Smith-Njigba)
• Catch 70 or more passes this season:  +10 PWR (Quentin Johnston)
• Gain 850 or more receiving yards this season:  +10 PWR (Zay Flowers)
• Gain 200 yards or more in the first 5 games of this season:  +10 PWR (Jordan Addison)

For TEs:

• Catch 8 or more passes in the first 5 games of the season: +5 PWR
• Gain 500 receiving yards or more this season:  +10 PWR

For OLs:

• Play 300 snaps or more in the first 5 games of the season: +5 PWR
• Give up 3 sacks or less this season (500 snap minimum):  +10 PWR

For DEs:

• Record 1.5 sacks or more in the first 5 games of this season:  +5 PWR
• Record 7 or more sacks this season: +10 PWR

For DTs:

• Record 9 or more total tackles in first 5 games of the season:  +5 PWR
• Record 2 or more sacks this season: +10 PWR

For LBs:

• Record 1.5 sacks or more in the first 5 games of this season: +5 PWR (Will Anderson, Jr.)
• Record 20 or more total tackles in the first 5 games of this season: +5 PWR (Nolan Smith & Jack Campbell)
• Record 7 or more sacks this season:  +10 PWR (Will Anderson, Jr.)
• Record 70 tackles or more this season: +10 PWR (Nolan Smith & Jack Campbell)

For CBs:

• Record 1 interception or more in first 5 games of this season: +5 PWR
• Record 3 or more interceptions this season:  +10 PWR

Each player can only receive 1 +5 boost and 1 +10 boost from the position list. Each player is assigned a specific condition from the positions' lists.

How to Activate Your Squad in NFL Rivals

Last but not least, let’s explore how you can use your Rarity League helmet in the NFL Rivals game.

To unlock your squad and access exclusive events, you’ll need to migrate your Rarity League helmet to the Mythical blockchain via the transfer page. Make sure you have created a Mythical account first! The game will detect the helmet in your account and your owner's benefits will become available.

If you run into any hiccups, wait about an hour or so and check where your helmet ended up. If you need help with the process, you can always contact the support team for assistance.

Starting in early May, we’ll be dropping a little thank-you to the Rarity League holders that do transfer their helmets by the end of the draft sale on May 15: a base player card at or above 90 PWR. We’ll also be refunding players who transfer their helmets with a maximum of $6 USD in ETH per helmet to ameliorate any gas fees.
